Health is Everything.

Health is the Key to Success in Business

Developing and growing yourself as an individual requires a healthy foundation in many aspects including relationships, values, structure, and more. Treat your body well, eat right, challenge your body, and getting proper sleep are a few ways to get started in the right direction. Once this is executed, you’ll reward yourself with more energy, greater focus, and a heightened level of discipline to make each day more effective. And the money will follow. I mean have you seen Mark Wahlberg at his peak? Sure, he’s charismatic and a strong actor, but he’s able to develop a strong foundational schedule every day of his life because he obsesses over his health.

Here are three ways a healthy lifestyle will transform you as an entrepreneur in business

Every day begins with sleep, get enough of it. Between 7-9 hours is a great amount.

Sleep is an essential function to make your days in the workplace as efficient as possible. And on the flip side, without enough sleep, the brain can’t function properly. Bad sleep destroys the rest of the day. As entrepreneurs, we’re making staying alert and making decisions throughout the day. The buck stops and starts with us. Do you think someone can do that when they’re foggy in the head and running on fumes?

Hitting the snooze button also tricks your brain in psychological ways. When you hit the snooze button, you subconsciously tell yourself that five more minutes of low-quality sleep is more important than accomplishing your mission for the day and in life. There’s an internal body clock at play here. This internal body clock regulates your sleep cycle, controlling when you feel tired and ready for bed. This applies if you feel refreshed and alert as well. Your body cock operates on a 24-hour cycle known as the circadian rhythm. After waking up from sleep, you become increasingly tired throughout the day. These feelings peak in the evening usually before bedtime.

Sleep is critical if you want to effectively lead your business. Sleep allows your body and mind to recharge, creating refreshment for the next morning. You need a clear head to negotiate deals, effectively communicate with your team, inspiring your team to work efficiently, and motivate the public to purchase your products or services. Structure your evening so you get deep, interrupted sleep. Then, structure your morning so you can jump out of bed and accomplish your tasks for the day.

Build your emotional resilience by working out

The best comes out in an entrepreneur when their back is against the wall. All people in business face big challenges and tough times. They might be in the red for months at a time, lose a big partnership, or they might have their critical team members disappear when they need them the most. But this is where working out helps build your emotions to face adversity head-on. When you go to the gym, you might start by going one day a week. Then the next month you go two days a week, and so on. That first month your lifting 30-pound weight and the second month your lifting 40-pound weights. As you add more weight to your reps in the gym, you gain muscle and grow stronger. If you want your muscles to grow, they must be challenged.

This same concept applies to business. Maybe you’re struggling to increase brand awareness, hiring talented people, or managing workflow. If you work out and exercise, you learn to count these challenges as blessings and opportunities. Opportunities for growth. This occurs because you know that resistance eventually results in personal growth and professional achievement. Instead of reacting with emotion, you respond with reason. You respond with a purpose. The message here shows to embrace uncomfortable moments that come with being in business. Master this healthy habit and skills of being an unstoppable and determined entrepreneur.

A routine comes from eating right.

There are many benefits to eating right. These benefits include living longer, more energy, and gives you the ability to think more clearly. An entrepreneur that eats right will manifest all these advantages. But beyond these advantages, comes building a routine.

How you do anything is how you do everything. For example, someone in the business eats unhealthy and never works out. This can be reflected alongside a lack of discipline in the way daily tasks are managed, or in how they invest the profit their business makes.

Routine gives the opportunity to gain complete control of your life. When you eat right, even when you don’t want to, you wrap your head around how a good habit leads to big positive changes in your life. Soon, you can begin to develop good habits in other areas of your life, such a business or family.

Every night, I follow a routine that helps me maximize my sleep potential and will be completely ready for the day to come. This includes turning my phone on airplane mode and blocking out noise from social media. Certain days of the week, ill wake up early and go on a 3-mile run, while thinking and developing a schedule for the week as well. Slow growth in the distance I run in the same period gives me a chance to create goals and add discipline. When you exercise this level of discipline, it feeds into the rest of your day. Momentum is built and you begin to win the confidence you need to move your business and life forward.

In conclusion, make your health a priority so you can make better decisions, always keep a level head, and scope out new ways to make money and expand your businesses influence and impact. This blog has taught that sleep, exercise, and nutrition link with building a profitable, sustainable, and scalable business. There are people in business that overwork themselves and never get sleep, or they make excuses that they’re too busy for the gym. In the end, it will catch up to them.
